Living with Intention at the Lark Street Residence by Architect Anthony Nazareno

For Architect Nazareno and his team at Nazareno Architecture + Design, design is never about isolated choices—it’s about discipline, cohesion, and a seamless flow of elements. This philosophy came to life in their latest Quezon City residence.

From the outset, the project embraced a consistent material and color palette, with veneer and stone serving as the foundation of the home’s aesthetic. Every detail—fabrics, wallpapers, artwork frames, and accessories—was carefully chosen to create a harmonious whole. “We hold a high level of expectation on the types of furnishings that go into the homes we design,” shares Nazareno. “That includes not just loose furniture, but also doors, cabinetry, and the kitchen.”

At the center of the home is the kitchen, defined by the Boffi Xila system. A bold island with titanium-toned lacquered fronts and a stone surface. Along the wall, Xila base units in Ecowood Xilo 2.0 Planked Grey are paired with Aprile wall cabinets in Ecolak Charcoal. The composition is anchored by Programma tall units with smoky grey glass, adding a refined sense of balance. Beside them, a dining corner is furnished with De Padova’s Villetta stools by Keiji Takeuchi in Nilo Ecru—awarded Best Dining Chair at the 2024 Monocle Design Awards for their understated elegance.

Nazareno placed special emphasis on designing the kitchen and dining areas. “The experience of having a well-designed dining and cooking environment is very important to Asians,” he explains. “We took a lot of time and energy designing these spaces to ensure they were user-friendly while still aligning with our overall design guidelines.”

The sense of thoughtful continuity extends into the dining area, where ADL Mitica sliding doors introduce flexibility. With a gentle slide, the room shifts from enclosed to open, offering both privacy and connection as needed. Beyond the interiors, the garden and lanai carry the same atmosphere of comfort and refinement, furnished with select De Padova outdoor pieces that invite quiet moments of rest and connection.

“A Boffi Way of Living” with Nazareno reveals how precision, cohesion, and refined material choices can transform a home into a complete living experience. By thoughtfully integrating Boffi’s design systems into the architecture, Nazareno shaped a space that resonates with quiet elegance and timeless appeal. His work shows how curated environments approached with discipline and intention can elevate both the aesthetic and the rituals of daily life.
